The Sedona Heritage Museum - The Sedona Heritage Museum tells the stories of Sedona pioneers, how they lived and the things they used. The museum also features a US Forest Service exhibit, a room that commemorates more than 80 feature movies made in Sedona, a room that shows the life of the real cowboys and how they worked, a 4000-square-foot Apple Barn and a gift shop. The Sedona Heritage Museum is located in Jordan Historical Park at 735 Jordan Road. (It's only 0.6 mile north of Hwy. 89A in Uptown Sedona.) Lowell Observatory - In 1930, Pluto was discovered here. The 24 inch Clark Refractor Telescope is used for occasional viewing. John Wesley Powell Museum - An oversized yet accurate replica of the long boat used by John Wesley Powell on the Colorado River is on the front lawn of Page's only history museum. The boat was featured in the Disney Movie Ten Who Dared. Within the museum, you can see sketches, photos and other memorabilia of Powell's epic Colorado River voyages in 1869 and 1871, along with a unique collection of Native American and pioneer artifacts. Other exhibits focus on the geology of the canyons cut by the Colorado and the history and development of Page. Films on Lake Powell, dam construction and other subjects are shown free upon request. Slide Rock State Park- Slide Rock State Park, originally the Pendley Homestead, is a 43-acre historical apple farm located in Oak Creek Canyon. Frank L. Pendley, having arrived in the canyon in 1907, formally acquired the land under the Homestead Act in 1910. Due to his pioneering innovation, he succeeded where others failed by establishing a unique irrigation system still in use by the park today. This allowed Pendley to plant his first apple orchard in 1912, beginning the pattern of agricultural development that has dominated the site since that time. Pendley also grew garden produce and kept some livestock.

Red Rock State Park- The Red Rock State Park property was acquired by the Arizona State Parks Board in 1986 and the park was opened to the public in 1991. The park's 286 acres were originally part of the Smoke Trail Ranch, owned by Jack and Helen Frye. Arizona's famous Oak Creek meanders through this scenic park, creating a diverse riparian habitat abounding with plants and wildlife. This riparian habitat, the land-based ecosystem closely associated with Oak Creek, provides the setting and the opportunity for Red Rock State Park to offer a center for environmental education.

Fort Apache Historic Park - Located in the heart of Apache country, Fort Apache was an isolated outpost of Anglo expansion. Today it recalls a turbulent period of both conflict and cooperation between representatives of the United States and the various bands of the Western Apaches. The London Bridge - In 1962, London Bridge was falling down. The British government decided to put the bridge up for sale, and Robert McCulloch, Founder of Lake Havasu City, submitted the winning bid of $2,460,000. The bridge was dismantled, and each stone was carefully marked. Reconstruction began on September 23, 1968, and the bridge was dedicated on October 10, 1971.

A six month supply of clothing, food, ammunition, and other goods was kept at the depot at all times. The supplies were brought from California by ocean vessels traveling around the Baja Peninsula to Port Isabel near the mouth of the Colorado River. There, cargos were transferred to river steamers and brought upstream to Yuma.

Discovery Park - Discovery Park offers you the opportunity to explore 200 acres of scientific, historical, and cultural exhibits. Currently open to visitors is the Gov Aker Observatory, containing a 20-inch optical telescope, the world's largest known Camera Obscura, and many fascinating science exhibits and programs, including a state-of-the-art space simulator ride, the "Shuttlecraft Polaris". Gov Aker Observatory is the official visitors' center for the Mt. Graham International Observatory (MGIO), a division of Steward Observatory, the research arm for the department of astronomy at the University of Arizona. Colossal Cave Mountain Park - Colossal Cave, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, had been used for centuries by prehistoric peoples when it was "discovered" in 1879. El Tiradito Shrine - The El Tiradito Shrine (The castaway). The shrine is located in a South Tucson barrio neighborhood. People come from all over the southwest to visit this shrine which is said to provide magical powers, they ask for help and pray for many things. Some visitors wish for help with a sick child or relative by leaving a photograph, a piece of clothing or a small momento. Some ask for the love of their romantic interest by lighting a candle with their secret lovers name written on the bottom, or maybe a poem or some flowers.
