The Southeast is a beautiful region of the United States for many reasons. Things such as the temperate climate, fun filled cities and scenic locations all make the Southeast a desirable place to visit and to live. Another reason why the southeastern United States is so wonderful is due to the large number of theme parks which are placed throughout this area. The following will list some of the best theme parks to visit in the southeastern U.S.
Busch Gardens Williamsburg
Williamsburg, Virginia is home to both history and fun. Those who come to Williamsburg usually visit two places which are Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. The latter locale is a theme park which has plentiful roller coasters, entertainment options and water rides. If you are in the area, stopping at Busch Gardens Williamsburg is a must.
Kings Dominion
Another theme park located in Virginia is Kings Dominion. This amusement park is located in Doswell, Virginia which is a short drive from both Washington, D.C. and Richmond, VA. Those who go to Kings Dominion will find a lot of fun things to do such as ride the fantastic roller coaster called HyperSonic XLC, play at the Nickelodeon area and cool down at the Water Works water park.
Walt Disney World
Perhaps one of the best known theme parks in the United States is Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. This park is home to Mickey Mouse and the rest of his Disney gang as well as a wide array of exciting rides, entertainment, dining and more. There are four parks included within the Walt Disney World theme park which are Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. Those who visit Walt Disney World will find a world of excitement waiting for them.
Sea World
For those who enjoy aquatic animals and all the fun which goes along with these beautiful creatures, Sea World in Orlando, Florida is the place to go. Not only can one enjoy the sea creatures which call this place home but they will also find fun rides and entertainment to enjoy all day long. No matter how old you may be, Sea World is the place to visit.
Busch Gardens Africa in Tampa, FL
If you are searching for a theme park which combines rides and animals into one scenic location then Busch Gardens Africa is the answer. This park has a large amount of animal exhibits, rides and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.
Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN
Another famous theme park in the southeast region of the United States is Dollywood. This famous creation of entertainer Dolly Parton is situated in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and has all of the great attractions which any theme park should such as thrilling rides, scintillating entertainment and great fun for everyone.
