Priest Lake Museum - The Priest Lake Museum is a great place to begin any visit to the lake and a fitting showplace to remind us of the numerous influences that created the special character of Priest Lake. The museum building was constructed in 1935 by Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). It is a prime example of handcrafted oil-treated tamarack (larch) log construction. The building initially served as a residence and office for the first Ranger on what was then Kaniksu National Forest. The museum houses numerous articles and displays that depict the colorful history of the lake and the surrounding area.

Kootenai National Wildlife Refuge - Kootenai National Wildlife Refuge is located in Idaho's Panhandle approximately 20 miles south of the Canadian border and 5 miles west of Bonners Ferry, Idaho (map). This 2,774 acre refuge was established in 1965, primarily to provide important habitat and a resting area for migrating waterfowl. The Refuge is comprised of a wide variety of habitat types. Wetlands, meadows, riparian forests and cultivated agricultural fields (for producing valuable wildlife food crops) are interspersed in the valley bottom adjacent to the west banks of the Kootenai River.

Sierra Silver Mine Tour - It offers a rare and exciting opportunity to personally experience the underground world of mining in the richest silver district on earth. Wallace District Mining Museum - The Silver Valley is the richest silver mining region in the world. In just one hundred twenty years, over 1.1 BILLION ounces of silver have been produced from mines in this valley. Hidden Lakes Golf Resort - Hidden Lakes Golf Resort in the Panhandle of North Idaho, Sandpoint, recognized as one of the most scenic golf courses in the Northwest, has recently undergone many enhancements. Idaho Botanical Garden - The Garden occupies 50 acres that originally served as the farm and nursery for the Idaho State Penitentiary. The Old Penitentiary shut its doors in 1973 and for 12 years the land lay dormant. Dr. Davidson and the first board of directors negotiated a lease in 1984 and transformed the area from rock, weeds, and rubble into beautifully cultivated gardens. Idaho Black History Museum - The Idaho Black History Museum is housed in the former St. Paul Baptist Church Building. St. Paul is one of two African American churches that were founded by Boiseans in 1909. St. Paul was built in 1921, and is one of the oldest buildings constructed by Idaho African Americans. When the St. Paul congregation moved to a new church in 1993, the historic church was donated to a preservation committee, which formed to save and restore the 77-year-old building.

Morrison Center For Performing Arts - The Velma V. Morrison Center is Idaho's most prestigious performance complex, nestled on the bank of the Boise River and a part of Boise State University. With a panoramic view of the city, parks and mountains, it enriches the lives of all its patrons. The product of a life-long dream of Harry W. Morrison, and championed by his widow, Velma, the Center opened its doors on April 7, 1984. The Center features a 10-story stagehouse which drops to six stories for the performing hall and three stories for the academic portion. It is 455 feet in length and 183,885 square feet in area.

World Center for Birds of Prey - The World Center for Birds of Prey in Boise, Idaho was dedicated in 1984. It is The Peregrine Fund's world headquarters. From here we operate our national and international conservation programs. house about 200 falcons and condors for breeding. Research is underway on many topics to help us better understand birds of prey and their requirements. The World Center is also the home of our Education Program at the Velma Morrison Interpretive Center and the Herrick Collections Building.

Shoshone Falls - Shoshone Falls is among the most spectacular of natural beauties along the Snake River. At 212 feet, the falls are higher than Niagara Falls. They are best viewed during the spring, when water flows are high. Irrigation diversion of Snake River flows can significantly diminish water over the falls in the summer and fall during dry years.
