Friends of Midas - Friends of Midas has restored and maintains the historic Midas Cemetery, Midas School building, the original jailhouse and outdoor displays of historic mining and ranching equipment. The Midas School, which is now included in the State and National Registers of Historic Places, houses a museum and community center. If visitors make their presence known, they will be directed to someone who will inform them of the history of this early 1900's mining camp. The Midas School is one of the most beautifully restored two room schoolhouses in America. The building now houses a museum and community center. The playground equipment is the original and is still used by children of all ages.

Bristlecone Trails - This trail begins in a nicely forested area with white fir and large aspen, and climbs until you reach the rugged, exposed upper slopes with bristlecone pines. The trail is easy to follow for both hikers and bikes, with many spots along the trail to stop and admire the view. Be sure and look up at the ski slopes in Lee Canyon, you will often see wild horses grazing on the grass in late spring, summer, and fall. In my opinion, this is one of the easiest and most enjoyable hikes in the Spring Mtns. for beginners; not many steep climbs, nice views, plenty of trees, and the trail is very visible and can be easily followed.
